How does Texas Tech engineering school rank among others?
I plan on obtaining my degree in engineering, and mostly i have heard people tell me to go to texas tech. Is that a good school, what are some other good ones, especially in texas.
Depends on what type of engineering you plan to study and where you hope to live once you graduate and get employment. Texas Tech is great for petroleum engineering if you are going to live and work in Texas, but Colorado School of Mines or New Mexico would be better (especially if you live outside Texas). MIT would be much better for mechanical engineering, but Polytech is better for civil/structural. Below is a website that compares engineering schools by post-grad pay.
