Now isn’t the best time for outside pictures because there is no beautiful trees or flowers. With that said you may want to check out the Discovery Green park right across from the George R Brown. There is a lovely man made pond that could be a beautiful; back drop, also they have some pretty fountains. If it was Spring I would suggest the beautiful public rose garden right near the Houston Museum of Natural Science, they have a gazebo and everything (It still may be a pretty place.) I would also recommend checking out the art/museum district there are some nice works of art at the Art Museum and near the Zoo.
Drive around I’m sure you will find a nice place! Good luck! References :
