How to file for divorce in Texas without knowing where the spouse is?

Marriage was November 2002, Bell County texas. Lasted 2 months at most. They have not seen or spoken to each other since then. He does not know where to find her for her to sign papers. He also does not live in Texas but in Michigan. What is the proper way to file for a divorce? Can it be done without a lawyer?

You would have to exercise "due diligence" in attempting to locate the missing spouse. This would involve making a skip trace attempt. If she has his social security number it may be easy to do on line. If he can’t be located–and most people can unless they are hiding out in the woods–he would be served by publication which means publishing a legal ad in a newspaper of general circulation in the place where he is believed to be.

The local library should have a book in the self-help section about doing your own divorce. Read it. Twice. This is not something you want to screw up.

How many people in Texas participate in recreational shooting?

Where in Texas can a handsome black ack Canadian cowboy find cowgirls?

Let’s see…I’m planning a Texas visit in 2011 and would like to know that,as a handsome black cowboy sort of dude, where would be the best bars/pubs in which texas cities to meet(preferably)
buxom blonde cowgirls?I guess I’d like to know before wasting my time fruitlessly traversing

Texas is full of ‘cowgirl’ types…you should have no problem…dude…

What are the home distilling laws in texas?

Is it something i can do for myself or is it completely illegal to even have the still. Thanks for the info. Please texas law not interested in other state laws.

No, it is not legal. There are only a handful of ‘first world’ nations which allow home distillation of spirits. New Zealand, Russia, Italy, and the Ukraine to name a few.

In the USA, it is legal to posses a small still for the purpose of extracting "Essential Oils" for use in making perfumes and such, but to do so from any liquid containing alcohol in the first place is illegal.

Now, realistically, the only reason you would be caught is if you tried to sell your moonshine to others, a practice that is even illegal in most of the countries listed above, and someone turned you in. You also might get caught from the smell of the still running.

Frankly, I would just be happy and content to legally brew Beer, Wine, and Cider at home if I were you.

Where are some places around North Texas that I can take my 2 teenage nieces?

I am planning a short road trip for my two nieces (16 and 18) and I need some ideas. We have 5 days available in July. It doesn’t have to be in texas as long as we can get there and back in our 5 day time frame.

Come to Dallas & take them to Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, Ranger baseball game, Dallas World Aquarium, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Palace of Wax, & Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament.

What areas or counties of Texas are most fertile or conducive to growing the most food/crops?

What areas or counties of texas are most fertile or conducive to growing the most food/crops? What grows best in the area that you mention?

In the panhandle and near the panhandle wheat grows good. Amarillo, Lubbock , Hardaman county and on down to Vernon and Witatal Falls. The grass looks bad, but it is full of minerals and vitamins that is good for cattle. Around Abiline, Anson and Hamlin, cotton grows very good. In the houston area, peanuts, rice and pecans grow very good. I would say each area is fertile for the crops that it grows.

What Texas city would be the most fun to visit for a 17 year old?

I want to do something special for my sisters high school graduation. I know she would love to go to texas, Tennessee, or Maine. I am kind of leaning towards Texas, but I don’t know where in Texas, I want to take her somewhere that has a lot to do. Also we are rodeo people so a city that maybe has a big rodeo in the summer? Can anyone help me out? Any other suggestions are welcomed!

I live in houston and there’s a lot to do here, but I hate to say that our crime rate is rising. Where I would suggest is either San Antonio or austin. In San Antonio you have the River Walk and that’s
great! Either place you can have a lot of fun. Good luck

Do You Know Whats in a Texas State Map?

You will need more than a Texas state map to truly appreciate the dynamic state of Texas. When people talk about Texas they usually think of Ranches, Cattle and country. There is much more to Texas than any amount of details I can give, so you will have to experience Texas yourself. For now, I am going to share only a few of my thoughts about this “larger than life” state of Texas.

Some of the colleges I am going to list may actually be on certain versions of the Texas state map. Here are a few of the colleges we have in Texas; Southern Methodist University, A & M, University of Texas in Dallas, Texas Tech, Baylor University (Dallas and houston), Texas Women’s University and many more.

Entertainment throughout Texas is phenomenal!

When we were looking for a texas state map to find Austin, it did not show the fact that it is a little talent pool of musicians and artists or that it has the most wonderful atmosphere for those of us that are the laid back types. If you like style and quality over quantity, austin is a very nice, natural place to be. You don’t see that on a map! Constantly being developed, Dallas never stops growing! Think of the entertainment and nightlife in a city that is always evolving. The revitalization of downtown is booming with coffee shops, unique bars, casual and upscale restaurants and they are consciously re-developing in a way that is pedestrian friendly. In addition, there is great shopping in Uptown, Addison and North Dallas areas that are fun and always happening, and within minutes of each other!

The Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, The Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas and the Cullen Performance Hall in Houston, offer wonderful venues for Ballet, Opera and Symphony. With literally so much culture and activities in Texas, it is hard to keep up with and actually see everything!

The great diversity in Texas offers variety and dimension to our communities from one city to the next. Texas has also become a popular destination for opportunity seekers. As small and large companies choose Texas for their headquarters, our continuous growth and cultural activities are ever expanding. If you simply look at a Texas state map it is impossible to see everything this wonderful state has to offer. There are no mountains, but there is an area named the gorgeous “Hill Country” but we will save that for another of Texas’ wonderful attributes.

Always remember to look for the most current Texas state map. Some maps will have attractions and entertainment plotted within the travel directions. This more detailed map will sometimes have places of interest you may have never heard of. This kind of detailed map will make it easier to find such attractions. Please, take this from a directionally challenged person like myself.

There are so many fun things to do in Texas, whether it’s for a vacation or even a short getaway, you won’t be disappointed.

Texas colleges and universities with hospitality or event planning degrees?

Does anyone know the schools in Texas that offer hospitality management or event planning degrees? It’s hard to find a concise list on the internet. I’m planning on becoming a wedding coordinator, and I would like a major that relates to that (instead of a business, or interior design, or something like that)

P.S. Not to be rude, but I don’t care if you think the school’s program is sub-standard. I’m just needing to know ALL of the choices in texas.

Information is below.
