I’m planning to move my hypnotherapy practice from California to houston, TX and need to find out what legal limitations are imposed on such practice by the State government.
Unfortunately, there are none. No regulation and no direct laws, it is typical in The USA to not have either. You may bring any complaints to the Attorney General’s office and they will try to handle any disputes.

I’ve read the Terms of Service, price per Kw/h, etc., and some give more at the beginning, while others are cheaper in the long term. Who do you think is the best electricity provider in houston? How long did it take for you to get your power back on after Hurricane Ike?
The only way you should decide which provider to choose is through the www.powertochoose.org website. It is a site created by the Public Utility Commission after they deregulated the industry and finally gave us the right to choose our providers. It compares the current rates for every provider. Just click the ‘Go Directly To Rates’ and put in your zip code. Just make sure you are only looking at Fixed rates. I also wouldn’t take a term of less than a year. Then just set a reminder for a year from now to switch again.
As for power after Ike. I was without for over two weeks, but that shouldn’t be a factor in choosing your provider. ‘Providers’ are just resellers of power. They don’t own the lines and they aren’t the ones who fix the problems. That is all CenterPoint.

I’m planning a trip with my girlfriend to houston and I’m planning to propose to her. Any suggestions on a romantic way to do it without the cliche restaraunt idea?
I don’t know if you’ll be into this at all, but here it goes. How about going for a walk after a nice dinner one night with her. Walk to a park or benched area, and sit down talking to her/people watching if anyone’s around lol. Then surprise her. =)

I currently live in California and would like to move to houston (or somewhere in texas) because we could afford a much nicer home there and I’ve heard Houston is in the top 10 places to raise a child.
